Cusk Eel (Ophidiidae)

This particularly photogenic cusk eel in the family Ophidiidae was seen on one of the earlier dives of the current expedition of the NOAA research vessel, Okeanos Explorer. I was fascinated with its seemingly effortless movement and undulating dorsal and anal fins. It was this feeling of movement I wanted to capture in its illustration.

Archival prints are printed and packaged by the artist in Miles City, Montana, on 11" X 14" lightly textured, heavy weight paper. Prints are packaged in a clear bag with recycled cardboard backing. Signed.
